The gantry steel structure workshop is widely used in the construction of industrial plants due to its high efficiency, economy and flexibility. The overall structure's self-weight is reduced by more than 30% compared to traditional concrete structures by using light steel (such as Q235B and Q355B H-beams) and cold-formed thin-walled steel components. Components are prefabricated in the factory and assembled on site with bolts, which can shorten the construction period by 40% to 60%. The design of variable cross-section beams and columns can adjust the cross-section according to the force requirements, making full use of materials and saving steel. The amount of steel used is low, generally controlled at around 25 to 30 kilograms per square meter.
