Poultry performance starts with housing. A steel chicken house controls the environment that drives flock health, feed conversion and egg or meat output – stable temperature, clean airflow, dry floors and enough space for your production system. Steel delivers that envelope quickly, durably, and in layouts that match layer, broiler or breeding operations.
Every house is engineered around your flock: the cage or floor system, stocking density, ventilation strategy and local climate. The result is a building that supports your production targets from day one, and stays low-maintenance for decades.

Why Choose Steel for Your Chicken House
Poultry profitability depends on environment: temperature swings, drafts and humidity directly affect feed conversion, mortality and production. A steel chicken house is engineered to control that environment. Insulated envelopes hold stable temperatures, ventilation systems move the air the flock needs, and smooth, cleanable surfaces keep sanitation simple – the fundamentals that determine performance.
Steel is the right material for the job because poultry housing is hard on buildings. Moisture, ammonia and cleaning chemicals corrode weaker structures, while our hot-dip galvanized frames are built to resist them for decades. The prefabricated construction also matters commercially: a house that goes up in weeks rather than months gets birds in sooner and starts revenue earlier.
Every house is designed around your production system – cage rows or floor, feed and drinker lines, egg collection, ventilation strategy and local climate. With Derun as EPC supplier, design, fabrication, delivery and erection guidance are coordinated under one responsibility, so the house performs from the first flock.
Typical Chicken House Configurations & Layout Options
Most poultry houses follow configurations we adapt to your system and climate:
Layer House with Cage Rows – spans sized for cage systems with central or side feed alleys.
Broiler House – wide, well-ventilated interiors for floor rearing with tunnel ventilation options.
Rearing / Pullet House – clean, controllable space for young stock before transfer.
Breeding House – flexible layouts with separate areas for males and females.
Open-Sided House with Curtains – economical natural ventilation for mild climates.

Design & Engineering Process
Every chicken house starts with your flock and production system, not a template. Our engineers take your bird capacity, cage or floor plan and local climate and confirm the key parameters – span, height, ventilation, insulation and the loads for your equipment. That confirmation becomes the basis of the structural design, so the house suits your operation from the very beginning.
The design then moves into detailed engineering: frame sizing, ventilation layout, insulation selection, feed and egg system provisions, all produced as clear production drawings. Because design and fabrication live in the same organization, every detail is checked against our production capability – cutting, galvanizing and assembly details are resolved before production begins, not discovered on site.
Finally, production begins: steel is cut, drilled and welded, hot-dip galvanized, then inspected against the drawings. The result is a house that arrives on site as precise, labeled components, ready to be assembled exactly as designed.
Performance, Durability & Maintenance
A steel chicken house is engineered for decades of daily production in a demanding environment. Galvanized frames resist moisture and ammonia, ventilation systems keep air quality high, and the cleanable structure simplifies sanitation between flocks.
Expected Service Life – engineered for long-term use with proper maintenance.
Corrosion Resistance – galvanized frames suit humid poultry environments.
Hygienic Design – smooth, cleanable surfaces simplify biosecurity.
Simple Upkeep – periodic checks keep ventilation and structure performing.
Sustainable Production – durable structures reduce long-term replacement cost.
Understanding Your Cost & Quotation
Every chicken house is quoted individually because every flock is different. Your quotation is built from the parameters that actually drive cost, so you can compare options and adjust the design to fit your budget.

Installation Services & On-Site Support
How your chicken house gets assembled is your choice, and we offer three levels of support. The most common is guidance-only: our assembly drawings and step-by-step instructions travel with the frame, and your local crew erects the structure under our remote support. For teams with less experience, we can provide a supervisor who leads the assembly on site and trains your workers as the house goes up.
For clients who prefer a complete package, our installation team can manage the full assembly. Either way, the process is planned in advance: foundations are prepared to our drawings, frames and cladding are delivered in order, and each bay is erected according to the sequence that protects the structure at every stage.
Quality and biosecurity are built into the process. We provide cladding and ventilation installation specifications, inspection checklists and safety guidance, and every shipment is documented so site teams can verify each component against the drawings. Whatever level of support you choose, the goal is the same: a house assembled correctly, safely and ready for your first flock.
Guidance-Only – drawings, instructions and remote technical support.
Supervision – an experienced supervisor leads and trains your crew.
Full Installation – our team assembles the complete house.
After-Sales – spare parts, maintenance guidance and warranty support.
